Andrea Jungnitsch, born 1958 in Mainburg.
I live and work in Murnau since 1984. In addition to professional training in the social pedagogical field, I began in the 80s the artistic training in painting, printing techniques, sculptural design and bronze casting, among others, with Prof. R. Seitz, Prof. F. Klein, Egon Stöckle. Through my training as an integral-therapeutic art educator, I finally put together my two great passions: Art and the joy of working with people. So since 2013 I teach adults, teenagers and children in my painting school "KUNSTRAUM - Atelier am Fürhopt". I am happy to pass on my experience, to infect my students with my creativity and to promote their artistic potential. It is always my goal that artistic work gives them the same good feeling as it gives me. Since 2001 I exhibit regularly as a member of the artist association Tusculum, Murnau in the community exhibitions, as well as with the "Group Art Mainburg" in the annual art exhibitions. In addition, my solo exhibitions, which I regularly hold at home and abroad, are very important to me.
I work preferably in mixed media. The preoccupation with painting techniques and materials and the resulting results drive me again and again to try out new things, to develop the familiar and to create connections. Stones, wood, colors and shapes in nature and especially the structures of the surfaces inspire me and let the images arise in advance in my head. Often I pick out special details and let them become the main content of the image. Combined with a large portion of joy in experimentation, this intensive approach, time and space is forgotten and allows me to completely immerse myself in my art. Meanwhile, three-dimensional work with wood, stone, bronze or quite banal everyday objects also expand my repertoire. In addition, I have now also discovered my passion for the design of jewelry as well as photography.
