Astrid Badstöber was born in 1940 in Komotau, today the Czech Republic.
She learned her artistic craft at art academies and in private painting lessons. In her painting, she prefers to work with acrylic paints and mixed media.
With her pictures created in the style of fantastic realism, she wants to challenge the imagination of the viewer.
She is a member of the artists' association Tusculum e.V. and of euroArt.
