I was born in Munich in 1959. I was drawn out into the world early on, first as an au pair in Los Angeles, later a 1-year trip around the world to New Zealand Australia Asia and then 1995-1997 with my family to Japan. In 2004 painting came into my life, first I painted in acrylic and watercolor, then I got to know encaustic painting and was thrilled. With the help of the interplay of the color gradients in the different layers of wax, plus oil sticks and pigments, I can bring my ideas, feelings and thoughts to the canvas. Recently I have been working on sculptures and portraits in encaustic. I have been a member of the Tusculum Murnau artists' association since 2007 and exhibit at the annual joint exhibitions. I have also organized numerous solo exhibitions in recent years.
