I was born in Brussels (1966), and grew up in Belgium. I have been a recording and performing musical artist in the ambient electronica genre since the early 90’s. My music has been released on various record labels, e.g. in Germany, Sweden, Poland and The Netherlands.

I mainly use various synthesizers, samplers and sonic treatments to create my electronic instrumental pieces. I divide my attention between short melodic tracks recorded for album releases and long-form textural ambiences. The latter are frequently automated generative soundtracks intended for supporting art exhibitions, usually of my wife Birgit Schweimler.

I have a background in organic chemistry and obtained my PhD from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) in 1994. Since then, I’ve held multiple international positions in the life science industry. I currently reside with my family in Germany.

I am interested in exchanging ideas and potential collaborations with other artists across Europe. I want to support the free flowing of artistic activities and creativity within a humanist and open mindset.
