Born between two cultures, Belgium and my Berber roots, I have turned this duality into my strength. I paint to inhabit silence and touch the invisible.
Through my artistic practice, I disconnect from the noise of the world and from the ego in order to return to the original source, the sacred that exists within each of us. It is a spiritual and human quest, my way of finding true alignment with the forces of the Earth, Nature and the Sky.
My universe is rooted between two worlds: the earthly world (earth, roots, memory, deep greens) and the celestial world (light, breath and infinity).
My practice is purely intuitive, without preliminary sketches, using a palette knife. I merge directly with the material, incorporating natural pigments, sand and organic fragments.
The layering of textures and the sgraffito work with the palette knife bring light to the surface.
