Anne E. Ferguson

Textile and stained glass artist
Glasgow, Scotland

Gempke03

Since graduating from the Glasgow School of Art in 1978 my career as a visual artist and educator continues to encompass a diverse collection of related interests. From early days as a designer in the Scottish knitwear industry my primary focus has been on colour, pattern and structure. This transfers to my passion for leaded stained glass, which I love for its uniquely vibrant qualities of constantly changing colour and light. Whilst continuing to explore my preoccupation with printed textiles I have been working in glass since 2003 creating individual pieces for exhibition, larger community projects and various private commissions.

I am influenced by the Scottish landscape in all its forms and conditions.
I am keen to be part of the international community and to create links with other artists.
